CLASSROOM TEXT

If you are a teacher of contemporary literature or creative writing, you know that literary magazines provide a lively and vigorous platform for both new and established writers. You can help your students discover the vitality of contemporary fiction by using Shenandoah as a text or as supplemental reading for your class.

Shenandoah's combination of exciting new talent and seasoned writing has received widespread praise from reviewers:

"...a magazine of exceptional beauty and power.
If your literary standards are uncompromising and your taste tends towards excellence, Shenandoah is the magazine...you...want."
-- Small Press

"The best literary magazines have always endeavored to discover,
accommodate, and sustain good writing...
Shenandoah does all three." -- Booklist

You may choose from the following offers:

  • Individual student subscriptions at a special rate of $20 per year for three issues (33% off the cover price). This is a one time only offer; a single payment must accompany the order. For an order of 10 or more subscriptions, the instructor will receive a free subscription.

  • You or your school/college bookstore may order 10 or more copies of a single issue at a 50% discount off the cover price. Payment must accompany the order; return privileges are not available.
  • Return privileges are available for orders of 10 or more single copies at a 20% discount. The instructor will receive a free copy with each order.

If you'd like to place an order or would like to examine a complimentary sample copy of Shenandoah, just let us know. Our fall issue appears in September, with issues following in March and June. If you anticipate placing a large order for an upcoming issue, please call or write at your earliest convenience so that we may adjust our press run to accommodate your request.

To order student subscriptions or individual copies of Shenandoah for students, send an e-mail to Lynn Leech and indicate the date needed and number of copies you wish to order. An invoice will follow and your order will be shipped immediately upon receipt of payment.
