The Robert Penn Warren Centennial Prize
$500
Created
to celebrate the hundred year anniversary of the birth of poet,
novelist, critic and editor Robert
Penn Warren, Shenandoah offers a
prize of $500 for the best essay on any aspect of
Warren's work. The word limit for the essay is
5,000 words, and the deadline for submission is
August 15, 2005. There is no submission fee.
The winning essay will be published in the Winter
2005 issue of Shenandoah: The Washington
and Lee University Review.
Essays should be sent, along with a brief
biography of the author and SASE for reply, to:
